So I have decided to do my part for humanity and sign up for the National Georaphic Genographic Project. It will be interesting to discover the roots of my DNA, what parts are present that created the person I am now. I will update this post as the kit comes to me and I do my swab and recieve the results.

My real name is Henry Jakl. I was born September 21, 1979 in the Czech Republic, in Opocno. My mothers name is Emily and my Father’s is Henry as well, and so is his grandfather. They were about 22/23 when they had me. All I can think is what were they thinking… having a kid at that age, but they did justify by telling me that under communist rule the only way you could get an apartment easily you needed a child. So, well, here I am. The above picture is taken at my second birthday. I lived in a town called Rychnov nad Knezno. I went to kinder garden there and finished my first year of school. My father was a boiler technician in a large central heating plant and my mother was a teacher in a post secondary school teaching Russian, Czech and gym. Later on my dad got offered a promotion and we moved to Ceska Lipa where once again he worked in a large central heating plant. I spent allot of my summers outside with my grandparents or with my mom. My grandparents own a cottage next to a large resovrore. That’s where I did my first kayaking. Thanks dad. 🙂 But alls good now. Yes it was a traumatic experience, but if it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger… right? Well, we went to Yugoslavia in 1987 for a two week vacation at the beginning of September. We were more to the north on the coast where is was absolutely beautiful. This was the second time I was there, and from what I can remember and from the pictures my dad took, it was very, very nice. From there we went to Austria as political refuges. I began school there once again; my father did some small jobs and my mother helped around the place we were staying at (a almost looking hotel where people took refugeesuntil they were accepted by a country and allowed to emigrate). Then we ended up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They were desperate for people so this was the only place they would accept us. The sheer size of the country was amazing! So Once again I began school and my parents began to take English school. We stayed in Saskatoon for about 6 months. We took a trip to Calgary one day, and my father found a job and we moved here soon after. And well, here we are. So now it’s about 1989, my father is working hard and our family is began to prosper. And well, here I am now.

Review:
Hitler, a human? what about all the people around him? nothing but spawns of Satan with no feelings. I do not deney that Nazi Germany was evil and wrong, and that the Nazi leadership were insane murderers, but not all Nazis were evil. The potrail of Hitlers sectretary Traudl Jungeand seeing the last days of the elite through here eyes was an unique portrait. THe most dusturbing part was wathing the Goebbels kill their children in their sleep. Such inocents in them, then the shells were raining down, they belived it was thunder. Such innocents in a time where inocents did not exist. Some of the officers truely human and simpathetic traped in a nightmare of scenarios. A dream where one could not wake up from. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this movie was the lack of focus on the war, on the killing in masses. Each death that did occure felt personal, even of high ranking Nazi officials when you should have been detached. The movie focues on the humanity, even when you didn’t expect there to be any. War is hell, total war such as this is unimaginable and we as human beings should never experience it. I cannot imagine what it was like for my grandparents and great-grandparents being there, trampled by Geran boots, but then trying to reconsile that they were human, they are loved by someone, they are homesick and just want to be home. Over all, great movie, and highly recommended.
One interesting Person I find is Speer, the architec.
Independence Day

Review: Well, this is not a bad movie, but not that great… well it was good up until the whole virus thing. There should have been a better way of ending the movie, that didn't involve killing the human race. But that could have been entertaining… like come on, there aliens travel across the galaxy looking for planets to plunder, like they could get defeated by these pathetic weaklings. One of the major problems with this movie is the hurra hurra go US… in the light of recent events (well 5 years especially) the last thing anyone needs to do is watch a movie where the British soldier goes "it's the Americans, it's about time".
What Dreams May Come

Review: A pretty sad and depressing story right from the beginning. A man while on a lake in Switzerland meets a girl, who is his soulmate, they fall in love and have a wonderful life. They have two children who meet an unfortunate demise… a few years later he does as well. Robin Williamson ends up in heaven and the story revolves around his experience. His wife overcome with grief commits suicide and is sent into what can be self described as hell. This is the unique part of the film, the concept of hell. I have pondered the question of what is hell, despite being an atheist, the concept of hell still does exist in my own mind. Surprisingly, the concept of hell depicted in the movie is very close to my own idea of sufferer. To me hell is self created, it becomes you, it draws energy from you with out you knowing. It is a spiral of destruction that a person leads themselves into. Hell is self created, it is a need for self punishment, for self torture for not being good enough or failing. Over time you forget that any other thoughts are possible, and existence beyond this self mutilation ceases to exist. I have felt this many times, only to be brought out for a brief period of time by a friend or a lover. But it is easy to slip back, because it is the only thing you know, the only thing that seems to be left. Love over came this in the movie, true soulmate, but I have not found my key for salvation.

Based upon Goebbels’ Principles of Propaganda by Leonard W. Doob, published in Public Opinion and Propaganda; A Book of Readings edited for The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.
1. Propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.
2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.
a. It must issue all the propaganda directives.
b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale.
c. It must oversee other agencies’ activities which have propaganda consequences
3. The propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.
4. Propaganda must affect the enemy’s policy and action.
a. By suppressing propagandistically desirable material which can provide the enemy with useful intelligence
b. By openly disseminating propaganda whose content or tone causes the enemy to draw the desired conclusions
c. By goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself
d. By making no reference to a desired enemy activity when any reference would discredit that activity

Teaching ID in schools
My recent post on a forum in the US dealing with teaching Inteligent Design in public school…
After reading thread after thread, Fundy and Freethinkers clashing I have made a number of observations. Most of these observations have been validated upon visiting the xian forums and reading their posts and arguments. I am beginning to feel that my freedom is beginning to be threatened, even here in Canada by these people (and I use this term very loosely). With the separation of church and state beginning to fade, the religious gaining more and more influence, they are beginning to change laws and there is nothing we really can do about. I have seen ID being pushed more and more in the US and the Theory of Evolution being swept under the carpet and the term science being misused continuously something has to be done. Here is my proposal; allow the schools to teach ID in high school, grade 10 to 12. Allow them to study the possibilities of ID and the deconstruction of Evolution for all I care for. Now, in exchange of allow the xians to win and allow ID, they have to make a compromise, they have to allow logic and philosophy to be taught. After reading all these religious forums, I have reached the conclusion, they are not educated in the basics of logical thought and reasoning, where on this forum it is in abundance. Allow logic and philosophy to be taught starting in elementary school, grade 5 or so, start introducing the children to other religion and basic philosophy. Also, place a higher importance on math, what is more logical then math? If we can educate these children from a young age, I would hope by the time they are introduced to ID, they will have the tools to look at it and laugh, figure after 5 years of logic and philosophy education, they would be able to look at things more logically and rationally, and this even includes their religious up bringing. Even if the parents are very religious and attend church regularly, once a week will not be enough to over power 5 days a week of education. Imagine a grade 8 student pointing out fallacies of a priests statements, or beginning to ask question they could not answer. If we want to win this religious war, we need to use our most powerful weapon, education and diversity or the world.
So what do you think? Lose one battle to win the war? Even if it takes a full generation?
CrAzY DrEaMs…
I had a crazy dream last night, well, more like i have been dreaming a lot of crazy things recently… like last night, I’m running down Macleod trail, going north just on that over pass right after Heritage Drive. The light is red at the bottom of the hill, but as I approach it running as fast as I could, it turn green, so I slide (like in baseball) accress all the lanes to get to where the Part Source store is. When I’m in the parking lot, I see a cop driving up behind me, and he stops next to me and rolls down his passenger side window. He asks what that was about, I kinda shrug and try to open his back door to get in, but there is someone already sitting there. So I walk around to the other side of the car and the cop rolls that window down, then he slaps my hands while saying ‚Äúdon’t do that again‚Äù and leaves. At this point I decide sleeping is not worth it anymore and go to work.
